Nicknamed "The Taj Mahal" by the service personnel who have trained here, this towering structure is actually a combination water tower and 1200-seat theater. Designed by Atlee and Robert Ayres with a dome patterned after some mid-19th Century Mexican churches, it looms over Randolph Air Force Base, one of the most famous pilot training schools in the US. Randolph is called the "West Point of the Air" and is home to the Air Training Command.
